| A good blend of comedy and drama, ‘Khosla ka Ghosla’ is a complete weekend entertainer. The plot revolves around a middle class family headed by ever-versatile Anupam Kher who is out once again with a mind-blowing performance. The biggest asset of the movie is the emotional story based on the middle class family. Anupam Kher plays the role of typical Indian father who likes to follow his own principles but gets crooked by the clever businessman Kishan Khurana (Boman Irani). Apart from the hilarious scenes, the movie catches viewers’ eyes with its close to real life story. KK Khosla (Anupam Kher) wants to build his dream home and buys a plot but Kishan Khurana lays his hands on the same land. Being a powerful dealer Kishan Khurana threatens Khosla and makes his dream a distant reality. There comes the new twist in the story and an ordinary middle class family decides to fight it out with the felon dealer.Pravin Dabas and Ranvir Shorey have played the role of Khosla’s sons. Ranvir Shorey again proved that he is a brilliant actor with a wonderful sense of dialogue delivery. With his dazzling performance Boman Irani has shown why he is one of the most sought after character actor in the tinsel town. Experienced Naveen Nischol and gorgeous Tara Sharma have added some extra value to film. |

The music of the movie is another strong point with the newcomer trio of Bapi, Tutul and Dhruv giving a script-fitting music. But there are some sequences in the film where the movie becomes too predictable and the audience starts getting irked but some of the other positives make the movie a good entertainer. The efforts of director can be lauded the way he handled the whole story. Although in the second half a typical Bollywood twist comes when KK Khosla’s middle class family, which seems to be helpless in the first half snatches their plot from the clever and crook Kishan Khurana. The flick is a hit for those who like to watch a movie as an entertainer but for those who expect the movie to be an out and out comedy, it can turn out to be a bit disappointing.
Khosla ka Ghosla is an attempt by the director to try out the safe subject of a middle class family while adding a flavour of emotional feelings of the audiences and keeping risks at an arms distance. This movie with its smooth moving story and life-like category falls into a category of a good one to watch.
