Indian cinema is passing through a transformation stage and it can be seen in latest movies. It has improved in various directions whether it'scomedy or action or be it a technical arena with special effects. At the same time it is breaking it's fix parameters and giving a totally new treatment to mainstream cinema. " GOLMAAL" is the latest example of this new generation cinema. Breaking all fix parameters, the story is more close to real life than reel life, and this is the USP of this film. No fabricated stories, No typical bollywood masala, No high-pitch dialogue delivery are some of the factors which separate it from fix parameters or say common cinema.Released on 13th July 17, 2006 it is becoming popular among moviegoers who like comedy or a time pass movie with complete package of fun and entertainment. The name "GOLMAAL" itself depicts that this movie is full of comedy like old version of GOLMAAL. The actors are best fitted to their character. Be it Paresh Rawal in an blind old man role or Ajay Devegan in leading comic role, it is interesting to see them in their character. Arshad Warshi , Sharman Joshi and Rimi Sen are good in their performances. Tussar Kappor is excellent in a dumb and deaf character with interesting sign language and his specific verbal communication. The story is not very unusual but still holds you on. Four-college dropout Youngsters are trying their level best to get a comfortable shelter with all amenities. They play all possible tricks but can't find the path to a comfortable life. Lastly they had reach a home where a blind couple is living with this hope that one fine day their grandson will return from America. And this is what they wanted and they grabbed this golden opportunity by entering in this house. Rest of the story is a sequence of events and non-stop comedy, comedy and more comedy. The story line is so tight that you cannot afford to miss a single sequence. |
Rohit Shetty is too good at his direction skills. Story is fast going and gels well with the theme. Music is average but background score is absolutely nice. Camera is fine and soothing for eyes especially in multi-location sequences. Characters like " Vassoli" (Money collector) and College Dean is an added fun item to the theme. Rimmi sen has improvised her acting skill and maintains to appear attractive on screen.
The good part of this movie is that it is not based on any repeated theme and is fresh concept. "GOLMAAL" is a light mood movie and perfect for enjoying a good weekend. It is a complete stress buster and a good excuse for an outing. This big-bang movie is bound to entertain comedy-lovers, so watch out to laugh out.
