The story of ‘Nehle Pe Dehla' is beyond imagination as it defies logic. The movie script is a copy of several second-class comic movies of Bollywood. Whenever the story tries to be funny it turns out to be utterly pathetic. Sometimes you wonder what made Sanjay Dutt and Saif do this movie in its first place. Dialogues are old and they appear to be copied and remixed from various movies. However you get a little respite as Sanjay and Saif manage to make you laugh at times There are some scenes, which defy every imagination and logic. Can you imagine a dead body which dances around trees and on the beautiful beaches of Mauritius. If this was not enough then watch this body driving a car and dancing on a famous Mauritian song. Director must have learnt the formula from Mummy makers of Egypt to keep bodies fresh. Otherwise I don’t see any reason why a story was woven around the dead body of Balram (Shakti Kapoor). Balram remains fresh after many days of his death. The scenes are created with a perspective of making a comedy out of Balram’s dead body but it miserably fails to make one laugh. Things are so unconvincing in the movie that you fail to understand where did the director grab this stupid idea of including these scenes in the movie. |

At times good songs in a bad movie give audience some enjoyment but this movie fails on this account too. There is not even a single song, which you can buzz after coming out of the cinema hall. Songs are too many and too bad to lend one’s ears. Whenever movie turns to get boring a song appears to bore you further. Kim Sharma and Saif Ali Khan run around the picturesque beaches of Mauritious in some songs and there is a very stupid item song to add some masala in the movie. But the ultimate problem with the movie is that there is a lot of uncooked masala but the food cannot be seen anywhere. If you want to sleep in the Cinema hall, it is a must watch movie for you. Otherwise stay away from the movie.

Cinematography is the only aspect in the movie, which one can appreciate. Beautiful beaches of Mauritius are absolutely bright in the movie. But one aspect is definitely not enough to save the movie from being dull and boring. Shakti Kapoor is his usual self. He does nothing beyond what is expected of him. Kim Sharma has nothing to do other than showing some skin, which she generously does. Bipasha tries hard to play the character of serious woman with a nose for business. But she is more like filler in the narrative. In short the entire heavy star cast fails to save the movie from its destined end. |
