| Film festivals are an Integral part of a society, a place where exchange of ideas, thoughts, creativity and relationship take place. These festivals are definitely a time to celebrate but also a time when young and new talents are found out. All major countries of the world where films are a very part of the society, festival is definitely organised. Besides, there are small groups of lesser known filmmakers or those who work with a different mind set, also organise film festivals from time to time. In India also such festivals are a part and parcel of the industry. There are many festivals, while some are of international level others are national, yet some are even regional and others even local. Some of the renowned film festivals of India are International Film Festival of India, Kolkata Film Festival, Osion Cine film club-film festival and many others.
