A young achiever and Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic fame boy, Akshat Chopra is a proud product of National School of Drama (NSD). Having received a flurry of awards including National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement and Original Mind Award Akshat is truly an all-rounder in acting and modelling. He has shot with big names like Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Sachin Tendulkar apart from sharing the screen space with Rani Mukherjee and Saif Ali Khan under the banner of Yashraj Films.
Headlines India catches up exclusively with this talented boy who talks about his journey from television to films. Here are the excerpts of the conversation:

 How did you get your first Break? |
| Akshat: I got my first break with a Doordarshan serial 'Jang Lagi Talwar', some two to three years ago and my first TV commercial was 'GlucondD'.And from that time it continues till date with more commercials, awards, shows and finally now a big banner film to my career. |
| How has been your journey from TV serials and commercials to films? |
| Akshat: Very nice, though there are lots of ups and downs throughout the journey. But it was a very good learning experience to be better with every opportunity. |
| How did you get the role of 'Vashisht' in Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic?? |
| Akshat: I got through an audition out of a thousand actors and was selected for the role of Vashist. When Kunal Bhaiya took my audition he liked the shot but advised me not to mug up my lines and said "You will go forward". |
| How does it feel like to work with Rani Mukherjee and Saif Ali Khan? |
| Akshat: First of all, Rani Mukherjee is my favorite. So, I was very happy to work with her. Rani Didi is very down-to-earth and jolly person. Saif Bhaiya became my favorite after I worked with him. I learnt a lot from him, he used to give me tips to enhance my dialogue delivery. They both were very helpful. |
| How do you manage your school and shoots? |
| Akshat: I study between my shoots and sometime have to miss out playing in order to balance my studies. |
| What is your experience in National School of Drama (NSD)? |
| Akshat: I got to learn and improvise my diction, dialogue delivery and also, my confidence level rose through plays and workshops at NSD. |
| What is your favorite pass time?? |
| Akshat: I love to play outdoor games like cricket. I also like painting and spending time with my friends. |
| Which is your favorite movie? |
| Akshat: I love to watch 'Andaz Apna Apna'. |
| What do your friends say about you? |
| Akshat: My friends say that I am very down-to-earth, calm, cool and friendly. |
| When did you feel like a Star ? |
| Akshat: It was an incident in school when I was about to board my school bus and saw a chunk of students waiting to meet me. They rushed to me to get my autograph. It was a mixed feelings but I felt like a star. |
| What is your passion? |
| Akshat: Dance is my passion. After I permormed at a JazzyB show my parents first realised about my dancing talent. I have got noticed by dance only which later helped me to take up acting. |
| Any coming projects? |
| Akshat: I have recently got selected for a Complan commercial. Films are in selecting process as I would be doing only good roles and will be very selective in order to continue my studies. |
