How has life changed after winning this title? |
| Parvathy: Life has changed overnight and become busy. I am traveling to lots
of places, interacting with people and experimenting with different
cuisines. I am very much enjoying this phase of my life. |
Was modeling always on your mind or it happened by chance? |
| Parvathy: I can't say that it happened by chance. I was always interested in
modeling and winning the pageant was my childhood dream. I used to take part
in inter-college competitions and won most of the contests. I was the winner
of Miss Malayali-2005, Malayali Manka-2005, Navy Queen (Southern Naval
Command, Cochin)-2006, Lions Club Dreamgirl-2007 and Navy Queen
(Vizag)-2007.
|
How is your preparation going for the Miss World pageant? |
| Parvathy: I am fully concentrating on it. Apart from just focusing on my
appearance, I am trying to be a stronger person to face the contest. I am
preparing myself mentally for the mega event. |
Who is your designer for the mega event? |
| Parvathy: I will be wearing an ensemble designed by Hemant Trivedi. |
Are there any plans to enter Bollywood? |
| Parvathy: No, not yet. I want to fully focus on the Miss World Contest to be
held in Ukaraine in October this year. I believe that there should be one
goal at a time. Once it is attained, the focus can be shifted to the other. |
What are your hobbies? |
| Parvathy: Since class Xth, I am a sports freak. I love playing Basketball
and Badminton. Apart from that I enjoy listening to music, dancing, glass
painting and reading. Currently, I am reading Rhonda Byrne's THE SECRET. |
Your views on status of women in our country... |
| Parvathy:The security of women is very important issue in our country. I
want to voice my opinion against female foeticide and increasing crime
against women. |
Any message for our viewers. |
| Parvathy: As I said earlier, there is no short cut to success and no
substitute to hardwork. So work hard and in no time you will see your dreams
becoming reality. |
