“De Taali”, a movie which is worth a single clap, is an attempt to celebrate friendship between three close pals- Abhi (Aftab Shivdasani), Amu (Ayesha Takia) and Paglu (Ritesh Deshmukh). Abhi is a rich and sensitive guy who falls in love with every other girl he comes across. Amu plays a tomboyish and sweet girl while Paglu plays a fun loving character. Friendship means love and love means friendship for the threesome. But as most friendships go, one falls in love with the other.

The film which sees the return of Director E Nivas with another comedy flick after Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, starts with love developing in Amu's heart for Abhi. She herself is unaware of her feelings. But Paglu makes her realise her love for him. He asks her to express her feelings to Abhi. But before she could express, the twist in the story begins.
The twist marks the entry of stunning Kartika aka Anjali (Rimi Sen) in Abhi's life. She was his new found love after being dumped by 30 hotties. Trouble begins when Paglu and Amu discovers that Kartika is after Abhi's wealth. As, both friends want to save his friend from Kartika, the movie goes into a usual Bollywood climax of drama, kidnapping and a twist.

The Music by Vishal-Shekhar is a mixed bag. The title song and “Maari Teetri” is good to hear, but meaningless. On the performance front, Aftab makes a comeback with a little sense of acting and humour. Ritesh Deshmukh as always does comedy with a perfect timing. And Ayesha Takia looks pretty and sensible in acting. Pawan Malhotra and Mukul Dev are not required in the film. Even Anupam Kher have nothing to do in the film. The direction is lackluster.
The promos look great, but the film does not appear to be the same. The movie has very few enjoyable moments with some punchy dialogues. More than half of the film is spent on justifying Rimi's character which could have been avoided.
