Krazzy 4 as the name suggests is about four crazy people. But once you are out of the theatre after watching the movie, the only question which comes up is 'who is crazy after all?'. Is it Rakesh Roshan for producing such a film; Rajesh Roshan for composing the worst music of his career (the title song was anyway plagiarised); director Jaideep Sen for wasting brilliant actors, or writer Ashwani Dheer who seems to have been confused while writing (or should we say copying) the script.
The film introduces us to four psychiatric patients Arshad Warsi, Suresh Menon, Rajpal Yadav and Irrfan Khan. But during the course of the film we realise that the charecters are not as crazy as they seem to be. They rescue their own doctor, conduct a sting operation, roam around the town, visit hotels and catch the baddies. In short they are more normal than most of us.

The skills of four fine actors have been criminally wasted in the film. The audience keeps on waiting till the end to see Arshad burst into his comic tactics. Irrfan has no role in the film, but accompany the others in a dumb fashion and say just one dialogue- “I am the captain of this team”. Even the chemistry between the two actors (Arshad and Irrfan) which we have seen in 'Sunday' is totally missing.
Can you believe our talkative Suresh Menon who can talk throughout the length of the film has his mouth stuffed with food throughout? Now that is what we call (im)proper use of actors! The only respite to the film is Rajpal Yadav who is stuck in the gandhian era and has bouts of patriotism throughout the film.

As we all know not even the script is original but 'inspired' from Michael Keaton-Christopher Lloyd starrer 'The Dream Team'. There is hardly any change even in the dressing style of the actors of the two movies.
Even the item songs by Shahrukh and Rakhi Sawant fail to hold the interest of the audience in the film.once they are over. Markand Deshpande it seems has got into the business of appearing in a blink-and-I-am-gone roles in films.
There are a few moments when the audience start laughing, but lose interest with the progression of the story. It seems that the only person who keeps on laughing after seeing the film is Ram Sampath, who extracted 2 crores from the Roshans for breaching copyright of his song.
All we can say is - Krazzy film indeed! |
