 The six packs finally bared, and it was interesting for the audiences to see Six-Pack-Khan on a big screen without any action. His charming lover boy image continues to spread its magic by ruling hearts of millions. In the movie 'Om Shanti Om', Shahrukh was casted opposite to half of his age, actress Deepika Padukone but no critic came out from anywhere else. In fact, everybody knows that the film resembles with 'Karz', but one should found the flavor of Bhadshah khan in it. Move on.....the story is all about late 70's bollywood drama where all the ingredients of bollywood film industry were shown. This is perhaps the reason why one cannot stop himself from comparing this movie with Rishi Kapoor's superhit-'Karz'. But compared to 'Karz', there are hardly any twists or turns in the plot of 'Om Shanti Om'. It is plain, simple and crystal clear. The movie 'Om Shanti Om' main character is Om Prakash Makhiza played by SRK, who is a junior artist and an aspiring actor. He loves acting, shooting and just everything about the film industry and of course the famous actress of the time-- Sahntipriya (Deepika). |

 During the course of shooting, Om saves Shanti's life, and eventually become friends then after. As the two met each other a few times, Om felt the inclination towards Shanti. But his dreams blasted like the bubbles of water as he came to know that Shanti and a producer Mahesh (Arjun Rampal) were already secretly married. But the things not gone well. The greedy and cruel Mahesh kills Shanti in the same studio where he had planned to produce his film "Om Shanti Om'.Trying to save of her love Om too died and reincarnated immediately. After the interval, the story flashes towards the present story. The reincarnated Om now bears the same name-Om, but the only difference, now he is Om Kapoor, the son of a superstar. Haunted by his past life and memories he gradually remembers all that happened to him. Finally, he met the villain and vows to take a revenge. Incidentally he also met his love of her past life-Shanti, who is now Shandy, who resembles Shanti and somehow the same plot of the movie Karz was repeated but with a difference. |

| The songs are superb with two item songs (Darde Disco.. , and other one Deewangi Deewangi-- with 31 Bollywood stars making an appearance for the first time in a song after Big B's song in Namak Halal) are the USP of the film. The songs are really good enough. The best thing about the film the actor who rules the Bollywood, atleast in recent times. In Bollywood there are two things which sells One is Sex and other is SRK. Shahrukh once again gave another wonderful performance. Its just the Shahrukh, Shahrukh, Shahrukh. Its Shahrukh all over, though there were some other fine actors like Kiron Kher, Talpade, Arjun Rampal who gave their wonderful performance. But at the end hats off to King Khan..you have done it again. |
