Three gorgeous lady and the best actors of the industry sharing screen, and that to in a thriller by director duo who had earlier enthralled the audience with Baazigar, Khiladi and Humraz, Race has all the element to hold audience's nerve till the end.
The movie is about Ranbir (Saif Ali Khan) whose younger brother Rajiv (Akshay Khanna) conspires for his sibling's insurance policy of 100 million. Jealous by his brother's power, Rajiv uses Sonia (Bipasha) and Sophia (Katrina) in his plan, but is breached by his own player.

Performance wise, Akshay Khanna repeats the magic of Humraz in yet another rocking villainous role. Saif fails somewhere and babes- Katrina and dusky Bipasha- are average. But hey, there is promising pair of Anil and Sameera, who reminisce of Karamchand and Kitty, the detective duo of television in mid eighties. Though Sameera bores, Anil is entertaining.

After the failure of '36 China Town' and 'Naqaab', Abbas Mustan has really came with a bang and proved that when it comes to thrillers, they are just the best. Music composed by Pritam is also outstanding, specially 'Crazy', 'O Jaane Jaa' and 'Zara Zara touch me' shakes audience's leg in theater.
So if you want to enjoy your weekend with some twist and turn, Race is the best option. |
