Sarkar Raj'Sarkar Raj' is a sequel to 2004 hit Sarkar which stars Big B, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan. Its Abhi’s and Ash’s first film together after their marriage. After a string of box office flops like Nishabd, Ram Gopal Varma ki Aag followed by Go, the filmmaker Ram Gopal Verma makes a comeback on the silver screen with a film with an intensity his movies are known for. It seems like Ramu has learnt from his own mistakes of over-experimenting and come out of the nexus created by himself. Sarkar Raj is a movie which holds up the plot, despite the story being slow in patches. Varma's sequel of Sarkar – his tribute to The Godfather – is overtly or covertly inspired from the issue of farmer suicides in Maharashtra.
Sarkar Raj ReviewSon Shankar (Abhishek Bachchan) takes up the Robin Hood apron from his father and Anita (Aishwarya) is the CEO of an MNC, who proposes for a power plant in Maharashtra to which the senior Sarkar is hesitant. Shankar convinces his father (Big B) and goes ahead with it, but on the contrary, things turn out to be drastically different later. Somji (Rajesh Shringapure) proves to be the major resisting force to the the Nagre family.

Besides the story line and steely performance of the actors, the Cinematography of the movie simply stands out. The background score by Amar-Mohile is good and relates to the movie's predecessor, i.e Sarkar. The background score of Govinda Govinda is pleasant to hear.
Sarkar Raj ReviewSarkar Raj is like a real paradigm, which keeps shifting every now and then, leaving the audiences guessing. On the performance front, Abhishek does justice to the character and proves his evolution post Yuva. Senior Bachchan performs the way only he can. Ash too has portrayed a bold and ambitious role by getting into the skin of her character. The on screen chemistry of the three ABs in the sequel is flawless. All in all, a fine piece of cinema worth watching, and a success for RGV in making a sequel post in his second attempt, after producing a box office thud – Ram Gopal Varma ki Aag.
