Watermelon Crush
Chill out this summer with this chilled drink. Watermelons are a great sumer food and this crush too does just that providing you with ample nutrition and refreshing you in the process. Rejuvenate yourself and get going in this heat.
Preparation time: 10 minutesIngredients:
- One watermelon, cut into pieces(chilled)
- One fresh lime,
- Chilled water
- Pinch of salt,
- Sugar(if needed)
For the Garnish:
- Mint leaves, finely chopped
- A slice of lemon
Method :
Chop watermelon pieces into medium sizes. Remove the seeds as they can make your crush taste bitter. Mash the watermelon a little to make blending easy. Blend the pieces but make sure not to blend them too fine. Keep the mix a bit coarse. Add lime juice and salt to taste. Add a pinch of sugar, if preferred. Add ice cubes and give it a quick whip. If the consistency is too thick, add a little water. However, make sure not to puree it. Pour into cocktail glasses. Garnish with a mint leave. Place a lemon slice on the rim of the glass. Serve chilled.
