New Delhi: On October 4, the famous Shipra Mall in Gaziabad- the satellite town of Delhi- witnessed the coming of a Bollywood team. Jimmy Shergill and Kim Sharma were in the capital to share their newly released flick, Chhodon Naa Yaar , along with director Dilip Sood and producer Sameer Gaikwad. Revolving around the youth and the title itself claiming to be one of the favourite one-liners of Generation Next, Chhodon Naa Yaar is also a movie which brings Jimmy Shergill and Kim Sharma together for the second time after Mohabbatein.
Kim Sharma who is known for her glamorous appearance in most of her films, sports a different look for this movie. "The look for this movie was decided by the director," she said. "I followed what he said. But initially, I felt that the character's image did not match my personality. Hence, the changes were done and now, it completely matches with who I am." She added.

Jimmy Shergill and Kim Sharma spoke of the good experience they had on the sets of the movie. "Everybody involved with the making of the film is young. So we all had same tastes and enjoyed working together," Jimmy Shergill said, while his co-star concurred.
The story of the film revolves around Ravi (Jimmy Shergill) and his friends, who are students of Mass Communication venturing out to make their diploma film on some supernatural theme. The whole plot then is a package of the ups and downs these youngsters face in their journey. Anand Raaj Anand, film's music director, has kept the film's music under wraps with the exception of a single song. "Talwar Re" is the only song that resonates in one's mind when thinking of the film because this song is a prime element in publicizing a film that has largely been a low key affair.
Mahek Chahal, the Nayee Padosan fame and also among Chhodon Naa Yaar's starcast, was a surprise absentee at the movie's launch. |
