| Potter mania engulfs national capital |

New Delhi: Harry Potter and the deathly hallows, the seventh and the final book of the Potter series is finally out on Saturday. Ever since the first book came out in 1997 Harry Potter has been a worldwide craze. The Indian children and even adults are going gaga over the new book. Its launch is being celebrated the worldover. In India too a lot of events are being organised to celebrate the launch of the book. One such celebration, 'The Hogwarts Carnival' was organised at the Oxford Book Store in the capital. It was like any other carnival, the only difference being it was solely for the kids. Small children dressed in the 'Potter' attire participated in a lot of games and competitions. The Carnival showcased the key elements of the Harry Potter series – the Quidditch Match, nature trail, crossword games and the fancy dress, where the children were provided with an opportunity to act their favourite characters from the book. |

However, it seemed that the potter mania has not struck the little ones alone. While the kids indulged in fun and frolic, their parents used the time to browse through the new Potter book. Talking about the sales of the new book, Nitin Chatterjee , store manager, Oxford book store said, “ The interest in the book has been tremendous. There have been a lot of advance bookings. We expect it to stay high for a week but the sale can dip later.” A Harry Potter enthusiast Meghan said, “ I like all the characters in the book specially Luna Lovegood and Harry Potter. I have seen all the Potter movies and have read two books. I am really excited about the new book.” |

| Harry Potter's world is not ordinary but is filled with the extraordinary. The unexpected happens here and mystery is the second name of Hogwarts school of witchcraft. With this book, J K Rowling's Potter journey of ten years has come to an end. But the memories that have been etched by the wizard would be hard to erase in the years to come. |
