New Delhi: With the pouring of western culture into our country, there have been additions to the number of reasons for enjoying life. This is because in an era of globalisation, what comes along into the lives of Indians are the western festivals giving them yet another opportunity to party hard and dance all through the night. October 31 brought with it one such opportunity to drink, mingle, hop, groove and relish in the Capital. 'Halloween Bash' was being celebrated throughout the capital in bars, restaurants as well as privately in people's homes.Town's Ivy Bar and Restaurant had a Halloween Bash for all those looking for spooky fun and madness. People came to the bash dressed in ghostly gears - devils, witches, mummies could be spotted in galore. Liquor deals were on - 'A bucket of four beers for only Rs 800' and people did not leave the chance to gulp down the booze. Delhi crowd was in full swing on Wednesday night and their attires and attitude screamed out spookiness. |

Saurabh Khanijo, Director of Ivy Bar and Restaurant, spoke on the idea of bringing Halloween to India. "Everything these days is globalised," Saurabh said. "A lot of people already know about Halloween festival and others are being educated. 90 per cent of the crowd that comes to Ivy knows about Halloween. We decided to put up this event for mere entertainment of Delhiites. We have everything in this event that one would associate with Halloween."About 170 people came and partied till 3 am. There were special attractions like coffee cup reader and crystal ball reader where people gathered to know their future. Party goers could also get their caricatures done and get spooky paint on their body. |
