| New Delhi: The revelers say when the wine is in, the wit is out and it leads you to Heaven. The national capital had a date with heaven when Chateau Indiage celebrated 'Indage Mega Wine Festival' at Vatika, Pragati Maidan on Saturday. At Vatika, no wine lover could ask for a better ambiance. The bartenders served the rich taste of Indian wines. Ambassador of Peru Carlos A Yrigoyen Forno was the chief guest on the occasion.An old lover of wine that he is, Forno shared his views with Headlinesindia Forno saying cheerfully, “In Vino Veritas! He explained the meaning of this Peruvian Language Phrase as 'you find the truth in wine'. While drinking wine, one can lose the blues in him. One can make new friend and build up relationship. I find the taste of Indian wine elegant and sparkling. It tastes like 'Amrita' (divine beverage)”, Forno said. |

However, Regina, wife of Carlos had different things to say. “Since the year 1547, Peru has been making wines of different variety. It has an important area at the seaport, which produces quality wines. However, Indian wines are good because of distillery processing,” Regina said. Regional Sales Manager of 'Chateau Indage', A S Bhatia said, “We have launched the concept of 'Champagne-Ka-Baap' to make wine consumer friendly by fixing the rate to just Rs 75 per bottle, so that one can easily consume it. We also have acquired International wine-yard and a plant in Jammu and Kashmir.”The atmosphere at venue was soaked with wine. Beautiful women stomping on grapes, added to colourful and spicy ambiance. Festival anchor Payal Chaddha, while talking to Headlinesindia said, “I was feeling great while stomping on the grapes. Of course, it was my first experience of grape stomping. It left my feet soft and fresh. It was as relaxing as foot massage.” |
