Rohit; an Indian gone international
If someone can design attitude in clothes it is Rohit Bal, the famous fashion designer hailing from India who has his clientele spread all over the world. Termed as 'India's Master of fabric and fantasy' by the Times Magazine, he designs clothes for numerous Indian celebrities along with several international personalities. To name a few Cindy Crawford, Uma Thurman, Naomi Campbell and Anna Kournikova are the admirers of his designs. He considers his work of designing clothes to be a form of art that has the sole motto of making people beautiful for others and most importantly for one's own self. He induces life into the garments by drawing popular legends and folklores, history and fantasies on the apparels. Simple yet stylish, his creations have won recognition all over the world.

Early Genesis
Rohit Bal completed his Graduation in History from the St. Stephen’s College of Delhi. A good student having a strong creativity, he decided to pursue his interest of making his career in fashion designing. Initially he started working with his brother in his export company to gain a first hand experience in the field. It was the year 1990 when for the first time he introduced his traditional line of garments for men. Since then he did not have to look back. His own garment manufacturing factories and unique collection of fabrics and textiles set him apart from all the designers of the country. The impeccable details and finishing of his creations have made him instantly popular not only in India but all over the world.

Rohit Bal is famous for his stand alone fashion shows all over the world. New York, Paris, London, Singapore, Mauritius, Dubai and Sao Paolo are the few international cities where his collections have sent ripples in the fashion industry. His fashion shows in India which have been held in the cities of Delhi,Calcutta, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai have established his name in the list of famous designers of the country. Many of the Indian celebrities have invested their faith in his collections.

Other achievements
Rohit Bal has achieved a lot and has a lot more to get out of the industry. He was selected the IFA Designer of the Year 2001 and 2004 and in the Kingfisher Fashion achievement awards 2001 he was selected Best Designer of the Year. He was approached by Omega for the designation of Ambassador and Khadi Gram Udyog, the largest textile chain in India has offered him the opportunity to design clothes for the organization. Rohit Bal has his studios in various parts of the country that showcase and sell his designs. He has his boutiques in the major cities like Bombay, Delhi and Bangalore.

Rohit Bal has added a new dimension to the fashion industry. He has been setting trends and his collections cater to all tastes and requirements. In the years to come he wants to work the same way he has done till date. The work that reflects his free will,as he says the work that "will make me happy".
