Sachin Pilot Sachin Pilot – a compound of two names that have acquired immense acclaim in their respective fields. Sachin Tendulkar- a sportsman and Late Rajesh pilot – a noted politician and his father too. It is in fact a nice coincidence that Sachin Pilot possesses the attributes of both these notables. Sachin Pilot is a great politician and also a very fine sportsman. Sachin became the youngest parliamentarian when elected to the Lok Sabha in 2004. Also, very few people know that Sachin Pilot has represented Delhi in numerous National Shooting Championships. Pilot is also fond of flying, a trait he picked up from his late father.
Sachin Pilot completed his schooling in Delhi and graduated from St. Stephens College, Delhi University. Sachin Pilot also worked as an intern with the British Broadcasting Corporation at its Delhi bureau. Sachin Pilot worked with a multinational company, General Motors Corporation before going on to acquire a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the prestigious Wharton Business School. |

Tragedy struck when Sachin Pilot lost his father, Rajesh Pilot in a car accident in 2000. Rajesh Pilot was a prominent face of the Congress party. His sudden demise left a void in the party that could be suitably filled only by his son, Sachin Pilot. Thus, Sachin Pilot was inducted into the party on the 10th of February 2002. |

Sachin Pilot took another big step in the world of politics when he was elected to the 14th Lok Sabha from the Dausa Constituency , becoming the youngest Member Of Parliament at the age of 26 years. At such a young age, Sachin Pilot feels for the cause of farmers and labourers and is constantly working towards their welfare. Communal Harmony, Social Justice and Youth empowerment are areas he is highly active in. Sachin Pilot is regularly trying to manifest a sense of social and political responsibility amongst the rural and semi-urban youth. Sachin is also involved with the running of the "Jai Jawan Jai Kisan Trust" which works for the welfare of the less advantaged. |

Politics has not moulded Sachin into the rigidity associated with it. Instead, he has brought with him young blood and talent that would prove vital in the progress of the nation. His father’s death did not break him. Instead the tough times helped Sachin emerge stronger and determined than ever. Wishing him a long and wonderful innings ahead.
