Kunal Ganjawala The man who has constantly delivered musical hits and made people jive to his tunes, Kunal Ganjawala knew nothing about singing till he was in college."I never thought I could sing” says the versatile singer who has proved his talent repeatedly by singing wide array of songs. Having sung some of the biggest hits of recent times, Kunal has set an example in the industry. Married to singer Gayatri Iyer in the year 2005, Kunal lives a family where music reins the lives of his and his wife.

Early Genesis
Kunal did his schooling from St. Peter's School in Mazagaon and graduated from the Elphinstone College. The talented and popular singer claims that he never knew that he could sing before he was forced to as a part of the ragging process by the seniors in his college. Since then he had been participating in various competitions and won prizes for his spontaneous flair for singing. To brush up his natural flair for singing he started taking regular classes in classical music from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. He first came to the lime light after his popular jingle 'Doodh Doodh Doodh' which he performed under the supervision of Leslie Lewis. Sine then he had been getting offers from the leading music composers of the country to sing for their films.

Road to fame
Kunal Ganjawala's career took a kick start after the immense popularity of his song 'Bheege hont tere' from the film 'Murder'. He received several awards for his playback singing in the film and never had to look back after that. After 'Murder' he got numerous offers to sing in various films. Some of the major films in which his has sung are Saathiya, Mumbai Matinee, Khakee,Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai, Fun2shh, I’m Proud to be Indian Lakshya, Gayab, Naach, Dhoom, Kyon Ho Gaya Na, Rules Pyar Ka Superhit Formula, Run, Lakeer, Rudraksh, Ab Ke Baras, Saaya, Badhai Ho Badhai and many more. He had the privilege to work with several eminent music directors of the industry some of whom are AR Rahman, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Himesh Reshimmaiya, Anu Malik, Amar Mohile, Sandesh Shandilya, Ram Sampath, Ranjit Barot, and several other music directors. He has also sung for several private albums which have come out as major hits. Some of them are 'Ek Cutting Chai', 'Jalwa III', 'Absolute Mix' and 'Honey Honey'.

Awards & Recognition
He has achieved several awards and accolades which include -
'Zee Cine Award for Best Playback Singer' for the film 'Murder' in the year 2005
'Apsara Awards for the Best Playback Singer male' in the year 2004 for the film 'Murder'
'IIFA Awards (2004)' for being the Best Playback Singer male
'Filmfare Awards 2004' for the Best Playback Singer male for the film 'Murder'
'R.D. Burman Award' in the year 2003.
