Early Genesis
The star singer of the Mumbai film industry, Sonu Nigam was born in the year 1973 in Faridabad. He finished his schooling from J.D.Tytler School in Delhi. He is closely knit to his family comprised of his father, mother and two sisters with whom he shares a very close relationship. He was just of four and half years of age when he started performing on stage and sung the songs of Mohammad Rafi, the all time great singer of the country. At the age of 19 he shifted to Mumbai to pursue his dreams. He is private kind of a person who doesn't like socializing beyond work. Spending most of his time at his home with his family members and close friends he is not much into freaking around. Having a strong personality, he is an out spoken person who has never stepped back from facing or expressing the truth.
Journey to stardom
His first hit was 'Achcha sila duya tune mere pyar ka...', after which he never looked back. Since then he has produced several Indi-pop albums which have created quite an impact on the music lovers of the country. 'Deewana' , 'Mausam', 'Jaan' and 'Yaad' are some of his private albums that topped the hit charts. He has sung innumerable songs in various Hindi films. Giving out major hits, he occupies such a place in the industry without which it is incomplete. He has also sung in many regional films like in Kannada, Punjabi to Bengali and Telugu which are liked and enjoyed by all. Some of his major hits are the songs of the films like 'Pardes', 'Refugee', 'Taal', 'Sangharsh', 'Dil Se', 'Haseena Maan Jayegi','Border', 'Kal Ho Na Ho', 'Dil Chahta Hai', 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham', 'Saathiya' and numerous other.
