Mohandas - A man Lost his own Nation
Mohandas - A man Lost his own NationNew Delhi: 'MOHANDAS – A man Lost his own Nation' is one of the Hindi films that provokes questions among the minds of the audience particularly the critics, claims the debutant director of the movie, Manzar Kamran. The movie has been screened at the Oscian's Cinefan Festival. And, it is the first movie having songs to be screened at Osian's.

Manzar Kamran, who had earlier worked for films like Satya, Kaun, Jhankar Beats and Masti as a cinematogrpher, says that the movie is about to bring Gandhi's lost ideology to the fore. He says, "The movie makes no direct reference to the Father of the Nation, but it represents Gandhiji's thoughts and concerns."

Mohandas - A man Lost his own NationNakul Vaid, TV star-turned-actor with film 'Ab Tak Chhappan' plays the lead role in the movie. The actor in the movie says it's a issue based and sensitive movie which will evoke certain emotions among the moviegoers. Talking about the reason for choosing this movie for his first major break, he said, "It was a conscious decision and a genuine reaction after hearing the script to take the challenge of performing the role. Moreover, I relate to the character very well. The actor in me is a part of me and is satisfied doing this kind of a role."

Mohandas - A man Lost his own Nation Sarbani Mukherjee, who was last seen in movie like Border and some music videos, is back with Mohandas.. after a longish break on the silver screen. Actually, the actress, in her own words, was "busy with her studies" but so excited after reading the script of the film that she chose to get back to where she belongs naturally.

According to the director, cinema should provoke and question the minds of millions, and there are no easy answers as always for the subject is so original and native. Manzar stresses that it is a bunch of a story and some images. Let's also hope that the movie brings back the lost ideology of Gandhiji- the real father of a nation called India.
