The official declaraction is not out yet, but the 54rd National Awards for excellence in Indian cinema are virtually out of the bag. “As all of we know that this delay has been occurred due to High Court's stay which was lifted last year. Now we have announced the results which our jury members has decided according to the new procedures,” said Neelam Kapur, Director of National film festivals in India. She said that process for 2007 Awards has already been initiated and will be announced later this year followed by 2008 awards by early next year. President Pratibha Devi Singh Patil will give away the awards to the winners and Information and Broadcasting Ministry has already written a letter for the same seeking President's time, added Kapur.
